in the news...
Amazing things happening in the lives of Jeremy and the band. New seasons of life bring on new opportunities as Jeremy and his family are following their calling to move to Fredericksburg, Tx. The music is not over, but will look a bit different at first. As they relocate Jeremy will take some time to get established in their new home before booking a full schedule. He will still make periodic appearances in the Central Texas area for all the loyal JJ93W fans.
Bio Jeremy James always knew he was called.....
to take a message of faith and hope down the Texas Highways. The nearest highway he could find was "West FM/Hwy 93". Hence, the name of his band "93 West" was conceived.
Country music has always been linked to the hardworking, faithful people of the rural communities in Texas. Jeremy James is continuing to bridge these ideas by blending wholesome lyrics with rich harmony vocals and a western edge. Understanding that music is one of the few things that can give hope to the broken hearted, Jeremy has allowed his faith in God, family, and small town roots to define his music. This combination makes Jeremy James & 93 West appropriate for any venue.
Growing up in the small Texas town of Rogers, Jeremy has always identified with life in the country. Raised by a family of farmers He could not escape his roots. When asked what led him to his decision to return to country music Jeremy said....
"I just can't run away from who I am. For years I thought there were greener pastures in both life and music. I tried to be something I wasn't. Now I realize how much I was blessed in that little town. The people I grew up around were like one big family. I want my kids to grow up in that atmosphere so we moved back home. God gave me a song to sing and this is my way of expressing the ideals I grew up with. I've listened to country music since the day I was born, and spent many years playing with local and regional live performers. This is my way of giving back."
When asked what inspires his writing, the answer was simple....
"I want my music to be about imporant things. If God gives you a song to sing you want it to be heard and to impact people. Songs tell a story. If you're going to spend time writing it the story needs to be worth telling. The four most important things to me are my faith, my family, my freedom, and my heritage. That's what I sing about."
